
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in engaging the community by recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who power the Food Bank of Nevada County’s programs and events.
Reporting to the Development Manager, this role builds strong relationships with volunteers, schools, service clubs, and corporate partners to ensure a positive and meaningful volunteer experience. The Volunteer Coordinator manages volunteer systems, tracks service data, and implements recognition strategies to retain and inspire community members.
This role also supports program operations, including supervising volunteers at food distributions, coordinating group service days, and overseeing the Summer Lunch program.
This is a community-facing role for someone who thrives on building relationships, organizing people, and inspiring collective action to end hunger.
