The Food Bank collects and distributes nutritious high-quality food to help people who cannot afford to buy groceries.
We provide food efficiently through our Food Bank Programs and also by collaborating with a network of concerned and dedicated partner agencies.
The Food Bank of Nevada County relies on and extremely appreciates the generous support of our local community volunteers. Our devoted volunteers have been able to contribute up to nearly 5,000 hours of service per year.
The Food Bank of Nevada County serves an average of 4,250 individuals each month, and the numbers are still rising. The people we serve are low-income individuals, low-income families with children, and seniors. Low-income people of all ages are welcome: regardless of immigration status. Everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
