The
Food Bank of Nevada County welcomes other donations that help us to defray
general business and operational costs. Donating items means donated dollars
can purchase more food to feed our neighbors in need!
Support Emergency Food Relief on Your State Tax Return
As you prepare your California tax return 540 this year, keep an eye out for the
"Emergency Food for Families Fund" checkbox in the Contributions section
on the last page. You may use this box to make a donation to the California
Association of Food Banks directly from your tax refund. The fund code is
407, and donations made via this checkbox are fully deductible for the 2010
tax year.
Brown Bags!
We are in continual need of regular, full size brown paper grocery bags. Bags
are used on a regular basis for food distribution in our emergency food
program as well as our regular outreach programs.
